Common questions

Is UrsaKit free to use?

Yes. Every tool on UrsaKit is free, with no account, no trial, no watermark and no usage quota.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There is no registration, no email confirmation and no login. Open a tool and start using it.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Image compression, format conversion, JSON formatting and the other tools run inside your browser, so your files never leave your device.

Which image formats are supported?

JPG, PNG and WebP are supported for both compression and conversion. Other common formats can be opened for compression, but conversion support is limited.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no server-side limit, because nothing is uploaded. For smooth browser performance we recommend keeping a single image under 25 MB and batches under 50 files.

Does compression reduce image quality?

You control the trade-off. The default balanced preset keeps detail while shrinking the file, and you can move the quality slider toward maximum savings or maximum fidelity.

Which browsers are supported?

The latest versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox are recommended. Mobile browsers work too, and because processing is local, a loaded tool keeps working without a network connection.

Can I use the results commercially?

Yes. Files you process stay yours and can be used for personal or commercial work. Just make sure you hold the rights to the content you process.

Do you use cookies or analytics?

We use anonymous analytics to understand which tools are useful, and a language cookie to remember your choice. We never track the content of your files. See the privacy policy for details.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

There is no public inbox yet. When a channel is added it will be listed on the contact page; the checklist there covers the detail a report needs.
